HAMMERS NEWS:

West Ham United can now sign Jordan Larsson for nothing after he terminated his contract with Russian club Spartak Moscow.

Highly-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed last night that the 25-year-old striker is now available on a free transfer after his contract with Spartak Moscow was mutually terminated.

Longstanding David Moyes West Ham striker target Ben Brereton Diaz is now in advanced talks over a shock move to an Italian club.

It is one of football’s worst kept secrets that West Ham are in the market for a new striker.

Hammers boss Moyes has been trying to sign a forward for the last three windows without success.

West Ham get big Richarlison hope in David Moyes’ bid to sign prime striker target Armando Broja from Chelsea.

West Ham were first linked with a move for Chelsea-owned Broja earlier this season after seriously catching the eye on loan at Southampton (Football Insider).

Now another Blues striker – Richarlison at Everton – could help the Hammers get their man. Sky Sports has reported that Broja is on Moyes’s list of striker targets for the summer window with a forward being a top priority for West Ham.

And Sky Sports transfer reporter Dharmesh Sheth claimed recently that Chelsea have set West Ham a fee of more than £25m for Broja, claiming an official bid from the Hammers is imminent.

There were setbacks in West Ham’s plans to sign Broja last week when Telegraph journalist Jason Burt said Chelsea are rejecting any approaches for the Albanian striker and are in no rush to sell him.

West Ham United target Arnaut Danjuma is allegedly also wanted by Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

When speaking to Ziggo Sport a couple of months ago, Danjuma suggested that Liverpool were following him very closely:

“I’m always as honest as possible about it. I’ve never had contact with clubs or anything like that during the season. But I was informed that Liverpool was following me closely.”

FOOTBALL 365:

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice is ‘not for sale’ amid interest from London rivals Chelsea, according to reports.

Rice was with Chelsea as a youngster but was released at the age of 14.

The Blues are eager to re-sign the England midfielder but are put off by the Hammers’ whopping £150m asking price.

Making it more of a challenge to land the 23-year-old, West Ham are ‘adamant’ that he is not for sale this summer, according to Football London.

The report claims that Chelsea are yet to make a bid this summer.

The east Londoners have offered Rice the chance to extend his contract but he is reluctant to sign on the dotted line.

Speaking about the England midfielder’s future back in April, Irons boss David Moyes said: “The first thing to say is that he is not for sale.

“If you are interested, well, it will be north of that. £100m was cheap last summer. £150m just now would be the minimum but he is not for sale. What I do know is that it means there are only certain clubs that could even consider it.”

THE SUN

WEST HAM are close to signing soon-to-be free agent Jesse Lingard, according to reports.

The 29-year-old will leave boyhood club Manchester United at the end of this month, where he has spent the last 22 years.

And according to the Daily Mail, West Ham are leading the race for the England international's signature.

David Moyes' side are going back with a new offer for freebie Lingard.

West Ham have been itching to bring Lingard back to the London Stadium ever since his glittering loan spell in the second half of the 2020-21 season.

Lingard scored nine goals and laid on five assists in just 16 games.

He helped the Hammers secure a sixth-placed finish, booking a spot in the Europa League.

His form earned him a recall to Gareth Southgate's England squad just before Euro 2020 - but he failed to make the final squad.

West Ham tried to re-sign Lingard in the summer and made another unsuccessful move last January.

But Man Utd held onto Lingard despite the player playing just 548 minutes across the whole season.
